CBD oil for horses - our Equines CBD oil

When our horses are suffering, we want to find a solution to help them, preferably in the long term. But what is the right treatment for our horses? In some cases medication is unavoidable, but unfortunately these are often associated with severe side effects. With our equine CBD oil, we rely on a natural and good plan B for your animal. If it is a serious condition, a veterinarian should be consulted. In recent years, CBD has become increasingly important. The effect attributed to CBD oil can also unfold in animals. More and more pet owners are trying CBD for their horses. Convince yourself of our herbal alternative for your horse.

10 reasons why you should give your horse CBD:

  • Relieves pain
  • Has an anti-inflammatory effect
  • Helps with itching e.g. summer eczema
  • Naturally
  • Contains vitamins and trace elements
  • Lowers the stress level
  • Positive effect on the gastrointestinal tract
  • Supports the body in arthrosis
  • Supports the nervous system
  • Supports the healing of laminitis
  • anxiety and stress

Horses react particularly quickly to some situations and then often so violently that it can be dangerous for them or us. This is because horses are prey animals. But some horses also suffer from real anxiety. If these fears persist in the horse for a longer period of time, it is important to react. Users of CBD oil on horses report that CBD oil can have a calming effect on the animals. Frequent stressful situations are transporting the horse, visiting the blacksmith, etc. Horse owners report that their horses get through such a situation much calmer if they have given them CBD oil beforehand.

Inflammation

Inflammation in particular is alleviated by CBD. In many cases, they are the trigger for physical discomfort. Persistent inflammation can have a negative effect on the horse's health. Researchers suspect that CBD should also be able to dock to the CB1 receptors in the brain of horses. Cannabinoid is said to have a positive influence on inflammatory processes.

Pains

Pain can have various causes: an accident, injuries, or the result of an operation or chronic diseases. Long-term drug treatment of the horse often has side effects. Some researchers report that regular administration of CBD oil reduces pain transmission to the receptors and thus pain can be reduced. If you want to combine the Equine CBD OIL with medication, we recommend consulting the veterinarian.

Cushing's Syndrome

The most common hormone disorder that occurs in horses is Equine Cushing's Syndrome, or ECS for short. Older horses and ponies are most commonly affected. Around every fifth horse over the age of 15 now suffers from ECS. Shedding disorders and laminitis are among the most common symptoms of ECS. The use of equine CBD oil can also have a good effect on the so-called Cushing's syndrome in horses. It can support the formation of your horse's skin barrier. There are already some positive testimonials from horse owners that Equine CBD oil is said to have contributed to the animals' hoof health.

Headshaking Syndrome

Horses suffering from this condition are often very restless. The affected horses usually raise their heads when riding, and rubbing the nostrils on the front legs can often be a sign of this disease. It is not yet certain what triggers this syndrome. However, chronic pain may be to blame. Equine CBD oil can also have a soothing effect on horses suffering from this condition.

Effect and application

The numerous trace elements, proteins, fiber, vitamins and fatty acids optimally complement the effect of the CBD. It is important to start with a small dosage of our full spectrum oil, as it contains the full power of the hemp plant and to carefully increase it with good tolerability and an obvious effect. There are no side effects such as diarrhoea, dry mucous membranes, low blood pressure and drowsiness. Our equine CBD oil for horses can be dribbled drop by drop onto a treat or into your horse's muesli, or as an insider tip onto a lump of sugar. We recommend starting with the Full Spectrum 5 percent CBD oil. As with us humans, the same applies to horses: There can be no uniform dosage recommendations. Start with a low dosage, stay at the same dosage for a week and only then increase it, note your horse's reaction, yes feel free to write down the daily dosage and reaction. Be patient and feel your way towards the optimal dosage. At the beginning, put 2 drops a day on a treat or in muesli, then slowly increase from week to week, max. 10 drops a day. The animal has to adjust to the new nutrient source. This takes about 4 weeks. After that, you can also switch to our Equines CBD Oil Full Spectrum 10 percent if required.

The Equine CBD oil can be administered over a certain period of time, but it can also be used as a precautionary measure for a longer period of time.

Be careful in tournaments

Many associations classify CBD as doping in competitions because it can give the horse an advantage. Cannabinoids are banned by the FEI and USEF, although CBD has no psychoactive effects.

Check the guidelines at each competition.

In humans, CBD has already been officially removed from the list of banned substances. Athletes like to use CBD.
